Ideal for fast flaming fires, the Hush Smoke Alarm is easy to install with no wiring necessary!

It has a feature that enables the alarm to be switched off for 10 minutes in case of false alarms and also has an ionisation sensing chamber which automatically resets once the smoke is cleared.

This smoke alarm comes with a 9V battery which lasts approximately nine months when a warning signal will sound to alert the battery is running low.

What is a Photoelectric Smoke Alarm?

A photoelectric smoke detector is characterized by its use of light to detect fire. Inside the alarm, there’s a light-sensing chamber. In this chamber, an LED light shoots a beam of light in a straight light across the chamber. The alarm detects smoke; when smoke enters the chamber, it deflects the LED light from the straight path into a photosensor in a different compartment in the same chamber. As soon as light beams hit this sensor, the alarm begins to sound.
